image252 - U.S. WORLD WAR II 507TH  PIR, 17TH AIRBORNE IKE JACKET AND HAT

Price: $950.00

This is an extremely fine 507th Airborne Parachute Infantry Regiment Ike Jacket, hat and shirt. The Uniform is Custom tailored as can be clearly seen in the pictures. The lining is hand sewn in and the side vents and front opening are uniquely modified. The jacket has been modified by taking the buttons off the front and adding a zipper. The zipper is likely British and the waist hooks appears to be either French or German in origin. Sewn to the left shoulder is a beautiful two-piece 17th Airborne Division patch. Below this is a PFC chevron and at the base of the sleeve are three overseas hash marks. Sewn above the left breast is a fantastic 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment jump oval constructed of a dark blue twill body with an embroidered orange border. Below the jump oval are 2 single pin back ribbons that are pined side by side. These are for the Bronze Star Medal and the Army Good Conduct Medal. Below these two ribbons is a SCREW BACK three place ribbon bar consisting of the European Theater Medal with 4 bronze campaign stars, The American Campaign Medal and The American Defense Medal. The collar brass is the typical hollow wartime pattern with smooth face clutches. Pinned to the flap of the left breast pocket is a beautiful “sterling” marked Combat Infantry Badge. Sewn above the right breast pocket is a “Ruptured Duck” patch and below that a pin back ribbon for the Presidential Unit Citation. There is the other PFC chevron sewn to the right sleeve. With the exception of the “Ruptured Duck”, all the cloth insignia is beautifully crossed stitched to the jacket. The size of the jacket is a 36L. Accompanying this magnificent jacket is a beautiful chocolate brown overseas hat that is tagged as a size “7”. Sewn to the front left side of the hat is a really nice Parachute Infantry Regiment patch in dark blue. This patch is sewn in a wonderful blue thread cross stitching that matches that of the jacket perfectly. Also included with this Ike jacket is the OD wool shirt that came with it. The entire set is in excellent condition with out any damage or mothing. The collar brass is that of an infantry regiment. A truly fantastic airborne Ike jacket ensemble.

image253 - WWII U.S. PURPLE HEART MEDAL PAIR - AWARDED TO 2 BROTHERS BOTH KILLED IN ACTION!

Price: $975.00

This is a very sad and tragic Purple Heart Medal pair awarded to two brothers, Ernest and John Pearson both from Alabama and both of who were killed in action during the Second World War. 1st Sergeant Ernest E. Pearson, SN 6349233 was with the 7th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division and was killed 11 August 1943 during operation in Sicily. Staff Sergeant John W. Pearson SN 6362399 was with the 27th Light Bomber Group, 17th Bomber Squadron, U.S. Army Air Corps and was killed 6 May 1942 in the Pacific Theater of Operations. The Purple Heart awarded to John Pearson is hand engraved and the one to Ernest Pearson is impressed in thee small capital style of lettering. Both medals are in excellent condition with bright, crisp ribbons and complete pin assemblies. They are both housed in their original black leatherette presentation cases and are without lapel pin or ribbon bars as awarded to KIA’s. Included in this group is a copy of a photograph of Ernest Pearson in his uniform and copies of Internet research from the American Battlefield Monument Commission on both Earnest and John. A tragic reminder of the cost one family paid for the price of freedom during the Second World War and very scarce to be offered as a pair.

image254 - U.S. PARATROOPER JUMP WING WITH ONE COMBAT JUMP STAR – CUSTOMIZED

Price: $195.00

Here we have a fine U.S. World War II Paratrooper jump wing that has been customized by its owner by having the detail removed from the parachute canopy and a single large silver combat jump star attached to the obverse shroud lines. The star is attached to the wing by means of a small domed rivet on the reverse side and is marked “sterling” on the reverse side of the canopy. This is a very attractive wing that exhibits great detail and retains its fully complete and functional pin assembly. Choice.

image255 - U.S. PARATROOPER JUMP WING – STERLING AND NICELY VAULTED

Price: $255.00

This a standard World War II Paratrooper jump wing that is marked “sterling” and has a gun metal blue back. The wing has been nicely bent by its original owner giving it a jaunty and vaulted appearance.  The pin assembly is fully functional but is missing the locking ring that roles over and secures the pin in the catch. This is nothing significant and does not distract from the beauty of the wing in any way.
