image031 - 3RD INFANRTY DIVISION OHIO OFFICER’S UNIFORM, HAT & SAM BROWN BELT

This a very nice World War I 3rd Division officer’s uniform, hat and Sam Brown belt that is in very good condition. The uniform jacket has a beautiful 3rd division patch sewn to the left sleeve. The collar insignia consist of the officer’s pin back crossed rifle insignia and the “US” pins. The “US” pins have the word “OHIO” in gold superimposed over them. There are two bullion overseas chevrons sewn to the bottom of the left sleeve and a WWI Victory Medal ribbon with one star pinned over the left breast pocket. There is a silver coffin style set of Captain’s bars pinned to each epaulette. The Sam Brown Belt is in very good condition without any damage and still very strong and pliable. The WWI style officer’s had is very good as well with an excellent dark bronze officer’s eagle hat insignia attached to the front. There is a slight bit of roughness at the front of the visor but nothing that s distracting at all. It remains a good solid officer’s hat. This is a great looking uniform set to the famed Rock of the Marne Division.

image032 - PISTOL BELT RIG WITH HOLSTER, CLIP POUCH, CANTEEN AND FIRST AID KIT

This is a beautiful looking First World War Pistol Belt rig in near mint condition. It consists of a 1917 dated holster in light brown russet leather, a 1918 dated canteen with cup in a February 1918 dated carrier, a 1918 dated .45 caliber pistol magazine pouch and a brown painted first aid kit in a 1918 dated carrier all on a beautiful Mills pistol belt. The owner’s name, “Elliott” is inked on the belt. This is a pristine rig in near mint condition.

image033 - COMBAT ENGINEER SERGEANT’S UNIFORM WITH SHIRT, LEGGINGS & COMPANY PHOTO

This is a fine quality U.S. World War I Engineer Sergeant’s uniform grouping that consists of an OD wool uniform, OD wool shirt, leggings and a yard long company photo. Uniform is in excellent condition overall with only a few very minor holes on the jacket but nothing significant or distracting. The jacket is complete with original collar discs for an engineer. Sewn to the left shoulder is a beautiful 1st Army Patch with red engineer castle at the bottom. Below this is an honorable discharge chevron. Sewn to the lower left sleeve are 3 bullion overseas chevrons. There is a very nice Sergeant’s rank chevron sewn to the left sleeve. Included is the original WWI service shirt with Sergeant’s Chevrons, leggings and a yard long company photograph of Company “C”, 14th Engineers (Railway) that came with the piece. A beautiful looking set.

image034 - UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS EXPIDITIONARY MEDAL – NUMBERED AND WITH WRAP BROACH

This is a really nice Marine Corps Expeditionary Medal in excellent condition. The planchet exhibits nice detail to both the obverse and reverse sides. The medal shows some negligible wear to the bronze finish and is other wise in perfect condition and with out and edge damage, nicks or bruises. It is nicely numbered on the rim, “M. No. 9515”. The medal is suspended from its original ribbon, which remains strong, sound and with good color. It is mounted on a bronze full wrap broach that is complete with its original and fully functional pin assembly. This is an early example of this seldom encountered medal and one that remains in super condition.

image035 - U.S. SPANISH AMERICAN WAR SERVICE MEDAL IN ORIGINAL BOX – NUMBERED TO MEDAL!

Here we have a fine Spanish American War Service Medal in its original numbered box of issue. This medal is extremely well struck and exhibits wonderful detail on both the obverse and reverse sides. The planchet is suspended from its original ribbon, which is strong, solid and with vivid colors. It is suspended from a full wrap broach that retains its complete and fully functional pin assembly. The medal is numbered “M.No. 711”on the lower rim at the 6 O’clock position. The cardboard box is in excellent condition as well with no split or damaged corner seams. It is labeled on the outer lid, “Spanish War – M 711” which matches the number on the medal. The overall condition of both the medal and the box is excellent.
