This is a beautiful British World War II France and Germany Star on its original ribbon that remains in completely original and excellent condition. It retains very nice detail that has not been softened due to excessive polishing. The points of the star remain sharp and well defined. The brass exhibits a wonderful, mellow age tone to both sides and is completely without damage. This is a fine looking example of the only star awarded by Great Britain to her servicemen and women for service on the European continent during the Second World War. Eligibility for the star began on eve of D-Day, June 5th, 1944.
