Here we have a very nice German World War II Mother’s Medal in bronze with the original award certificate that is in excellent condition. The Mothers Medal is in pristine condition on a full neck ribbon and with perfect enamel work. It is marked on the reverse side, “16 Dezember 1938” and with facsimile Adolph Hitler signature. The award certificate is in excellent condition and without damage. It is named to Elsa Hesse and reads, “Im Namen des Deutchen Volkes verleihe ich Elsa Hesse geborene Just Wesermunde die drttte stufe des Ehren Kruezes der Deutchen Mutter – Berlin, den 21. Mai 1939 – Der Fuhrer und Reichskanzler – Adolph Hitler (facsimile auto pen signature)” There is a beautiful embossed spread wing eagle with swastika in wreath in the lower left corner and the ink signature of State Minister "Meissner" in the lower right corner. Lightly written in pencil in the left margin is the date, “2 April 1929”. This is a fine looking set in overall excellent condition.
