Here we have a very rare opportunity indeed. Offered here is an absolutely authentic set of cuff links owned by Adolph Hitler that is hand engraved with his initials and executed in solid gold. Each individual cuff link is made of two rectangular sections with clipped corners that are held together by three gold links. Both panels are hand engraves with Hitler’s favorite classic Greek key design border as also found on his formal silver service pieces. One panel is engraved with the stylized initials, “AH” and the other with an ornate vertical swastika. The reverse of one panel on each of the pair is marked with the “585” gold content number and the “UAW” on lined field maker’s mark. This set of cuff links is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the original owner who gives the name of the 101st Airborne Division officer and the details under which the cuff links were obtained in Berchtesgaden in May 1945. The cuff links have been featured in several books dealing with Hitler’s personal items and Third Reich personality items brought back by soldiers after the Second World War.
