This is a gorgeous German World War II Condor Legion Spanish Cross in Bronze without swords in fantastic condition. The obverse of this decoration features extremely fine detail to the central swastika, the stippling in the arms of the cross, the eagles and the cut out swastikas in the eagle’s talons. The deep olive bronze color is a thing of beauty to behold. The eagles between the arms on this particular cross have been integrally cast into the piece and exhibit excellent detail to the feathers and talons. The raised edges of the arms, the central circles and the swastika itself are very sharp and crisp. The plain reverse is complete with the original “coke bottle” pin and heavy rounded catch assemblies both of which remain functional. The piece is highly vaulted on both the vertical and horizontal axis. This is a superb example in outstanding condition and about a nice as they get.
